| In 1982 my father, Jerry Falwell, started the Liberty Godparent Home. The main reason is because he believed and understood God’s Word had laid down a different decision for unborn life than Roe V. Wade did in 1973. From the moment of conception God knows us! The clear teaching of the Bible states that every life (old and young) is precious in the sight of our creator God. As we are confronted with our culture’s celebration of abortion rights, won’t you consider God’s Truth on the sanctity of life: Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you…”Psalm 139:13 – “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.Job 31:15 – “Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb?”Psalm 22:10 – “I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God.Galatians 1:15 – “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace…” My friends, every baby is precious to God and through the work of The Liberty Godparent Home, we are ministering to mothers in need. The primary purpose of this ministry is to come along side mothers who are in crisis. The home is a place for them to come and receive godly counsel and consider every option on the table. As a service, the home provides housing, education, medical care, counseling and case management to support each mom as they ultimately decide to parent or place their child through adoption. There is no doubt as to the Christian’s role in protecting all life – even life that is unborn. Your continued commitment and support of this ministry helps us to be the hands, feet and voice of Jesus for mothers who need advice, counsel and support.
