We closed 2016 with an array of church planting meetings in several cities and we have entered 2017 with more meetings to encourage our church planters and pastors. The purpose of these events is to train church planters and to offer coaching and encouragement to pastors already involved in a church. We have found that this continuing instruction and fellowship has been a great encouragement to pastors who are reaching their communities for Christ.

I have noted that the life of a pastor can often be lonely. That is why, as we reported last month, we have opened Local Church Centers and Regional
Church Centers around the country to help our pastors and church planters succeed in their desire to reach their communities for Christ. This is being done under the auspices of our Liberty Church Network, where I serve as executive chairman.

As an example, Discover Point Church in Oxford, Ga. hosts one of our local centers. The church hosted events in January and have others scheduled in February, March and April. Our church planters in that area meet for fellowship, encouragement and instruction. This is just one example of how we are training and encouraging our pastors and I see this as an invaluable help for our church planters, especially those who have recently started churches. Gaining insight from veteran pastors is so important for our young pastors.

Other meetings in the new year are now occurring in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Massachusetts. It is exciting for me to know that our team of leaders is helping our newer pastors. We try to help the younger guys learn to minister to the best of their ability. Of course, keeping Jesus first is paramount to good ministry. As our friends at our church plant at Life Church of Rome, Ga. say, “Jesus is central to everything we do.”

We are striving for multiplying churches because when we are growing, we know people are coming to Christ and families are being united and shattered lives are being put back together, all for His glory. We see multiplying churches through the eyes of eternity and our commitment remains winning people to Christ so they can flourish in Him.

Your friend in Christ,

TRWW
